The Hunt

Most of my drawing ideas come from seeing something I like and then seeing how I can translate it to my style and limited (or lack of) color palette. At the time of writing this, my drawing is a few years old and I have learned so much since then. I would definitely like to try this theme out again soon!

From ancient cave paintings to medieval tapestries hunting has been a powerful theme across many cultures.

I was inspired by this fabulous painting in the Cleveland Museum of art, "Hunting near Hartenfels Castle" by Lucas Cranach. I loved the chaos and movement in the piece and had to make my own.
