Originally recorded on the ancient emerald tablet, the hermetic principle, “As Above so Below” has resonated with anyone interested in exploring the nature of reality for centuries. It is used as a reminder that the macrocosm of the universe and the microcosm of human experience are not separate entities but parts of the same whole that reflect and shape one another in a constant dance.
In this collaborative exhibition, Alexandria Joliat, Mickie Masters, and Kayla Billings invite viewers to step into a world of mysticism and folklore, inspired by the magic that exists all around us. Through a mix of paper collage, mixed media painting, and ink drawing, the three artists express their shared philosophies through their own distinct styles and perspectives.
